Hello Kevin,

You keep showing up, and thanks for doing so. Your comments echo what Carole communicated to me earlier this week. The key to a Realtor still standing two years from now is creating results from laser focused work. Your Bug! Real Estate adventure is going to be a winner if your leadership and vision has anything to do with it. I look forward to your future insights regarding any of my thoughts about this amazing business called real estate.

Congratulations to Carole Rodoni and her amazing career! I have always turned to the most experienced agents in the business for sound advice. I have never met a successful agent who did not perceive their career in real estate as a "business." Businesses require investment and hard work. I am always amazed with agents who are "struggling" in their business, yet they are not willing to "walk their neighborhoods" or "door knock" as if they have more important business waiting for them at their desk. Even the most successful agents, still know the value of face-to-face contact with their community.

I believe that during booming markets, like we had until 2004, agents adopt many bad habits, especially new agents who have never experienced a downturn. Run and ad, send out a few post cards, and the phone rings. How easy is that?

Well, ask any agent now, and they will tell you that surviving in this market, requires going back to the basics and working directly with people in their neighborhoods. Anyone struggling with a difficult buying or selling decision right now, especially while they are being bombarded by the press with negative news, needs a trusted advisor, and neighbor, not a post card!

One of the foundations of our new company, Bug! Realty, is to bring our agents back into the neighborhoods, and provide more personal service to the customer. By leveraging our highly visible brand, and using a "billboard marketing system" as opposed to traditional media advertising, our agents are building their business by building personal relationships first. This openness and personal touch builds trust, and allows our agents to focus on their customers needs instead of their advertising campaign or mailing lists.

When you work directly with people, especially during difficult times, your business will grow, despite market conditions.

Thank you Jim, for putting the spot light on leaders like Carole!

Congrats...
